Thangka Paintings

Thangka painting originated from the religion of Buddhism. Some of the characteristic features of a thangka painting are: inspirational subjects, luminous colors, convoluted information and perfect accuracy.

Basically, thangka painting convey the spiritual ideas in Buddhism. Infact, this painting is considered as a spiritual advisor in course of illumination.

Thangka painting is a convoluted, fused 3-D item comprised of a sheet to make portrait that is decorated or embellished, elevated fabric, silk wrapper, wooden rod at the crest and base.

Normally, thangka painting are made to portray spiritual experience through the process of meditation. The theory of creative objective is rather complicated to relate to thangka painting because they are amalgamated items created by visual artist and tailors with conflicting targets, expertise and guidance.

A typical thangka painting is made either on cotton or silk canvas with colors easily mixed in water; that are either natural or mixed with a basil and adhesive solution. The structure of a thangka painting is arranged on an organized network of directions and overlapping shapes.
