Animal Paintings are the recent phenomenon that caught the imagination of the people throughout the world. Though animal paintings were also made in pre-historic cultures but its forms and techniques are altogether different from today's paintings.
Animal painting is actually the pictorial representation of an animal either on a fabric or a quality sheet of paper.
Animal Painting can also be tried out in shape of murals either on the floor, walls, or on the ceiling of a place. Now-a-days, animal paintings are not only made on a fabric or on any concrete but it look hottest as a body painting.
Few things need to be kept in mind while trying our animal painting. Besides focusing on the texture details, skinny and muscular (nervous) classification of an animal chosen to be painted must be carefully studied to make it as good as original.
Some research work is recommended in case of animal painting because there are several species of the same animal that have different features (facial appearance or skin texture) and if you draw those distinct features onto your canvas, it will without a doubt increase the intensity of your animal painting.
Co-ordination is an important element in animal painting because even a slight mismanagement in bonding of different aspects of your painting can ruin your whole work.
Apart from all this, suggestive snaps that give you a clue about the animal or its habitat must be avoided.
Animal painting is usually made by oil colors and water colors. In case of oil colors, the fabric used must be ironed properly so as to keep all the elements of the painting intact with each other.
In animal paintings, when a shaggy animal (with lots of fur or feathers) has to be painted focus should be given on the texture, color and the use of those fur by the animal. For this purpose, a special Chinese canvas brush is available in the market.
